Have you got any lights in the scene?

General Q&A note
Please give full screenshots with any questions. With the relevant panels open.
Also include the lecture time that is relevant to the problem/issue.
This can be done by Blender itself, via the ‘Window’ menu bar top left hand side. On that menu drop down is ‘save screenshot’.
Close ups where they help.

Oh sorry! Yes it was the render lecture for the well. But it seemed to work fine when I closed the software and opened it again. So it worked. Thank you so much for the response.

Small note, It is usual and better to make your own thread to show your work, these old general threads Are rather jumbled.

I’m not sure if I’m even posting correctly but here is my first scene (from the Blender beginner’s course)! There are a lot of little things that could be improved but I’m trying not to spend anymore time on this than I already have. Also still learning how lighting works . . .

I was looking for inspiration. I love yours so much, it’s so pretty. For the first challenge I tried to recreate this from scratch. It took me 5+ hours. But at least it looks somewhat similar. lol. Again, I love your model! It’s so detailed, and I love the lighting!
