Adding transparency to what Mike did (Tip)

If anyone tries to play with the nodes and would like to add some transparency to their texture you’ll notice the alpha doesn’t work in this case. At least that is what happened to my project. Here’s a picture of how I attached my nodes, there’s many more combinations. I’ve added a gamma node to adjust the ammount of black texture. I also wanted a sutle ammount on the white pieces so I used the same thing there as well.

Hi, not sure what you are trying to achieve here?
Principal BSDF has its own ALPHA, TRANSMISSION etc. properties.
Then, remember Eevee has a different setup (own properties setup) than Cycles.

As I said the alpha didn’t change anything. I wanted to fade the strenght of the wave texture and I did it this way. I only wanted to share

You can use a converter > colorramp instead.
