Figured I’d mention that a nice tool for generating retro style sound effects is SFXR http://www.drpetter.se/project_sfxr.html

It’s very simple to use (just mash buttons to get randomly generated sound effects in a broad category) or adjust sliders to get something you particularly want – latter requires checking out the readme.txt though.

It maybe too loud so lower your volume, sorry
