Ok, I didn’t use particles but I made a little animation.

I made a little pixel explosion animation for my effect to match the pixel art style of my game.

Looks cool. I like that you’ve matched the speed of your game with the experience of piloting a large ship.

My particle explosion
I have 2 particle layers.
One that shoots sparks faster than the other.

That’s pretty good, Jesse. And the firing delay mechanic is a cool touch, too.

Here’s what I put together. Played around with adding an explosion child to the main ones, and added co-routunes to control the flashing.

Space shooters are funny, as there really are no explosions in outer space, but we love 'em anyway. :stuck_out_tongue:

My particle system is fairly small as plan to replace it with a spritesheet animation and re-use to indicate when the player or an enemy is in a damaged state.

Hi! Sharing my particle system to the community! Even though I’m happy with it I still think that 2D animations are better for 2D games. You have a lot more control
