No distinct challenge from this lecture, but I did mess around with texture cooridinates and made something really ugly!!

Just QAD style (Quick and Dirty). A plane with my generated texture as displacement map. Under control of an empty. You can see that the map isn’t a tiled map.

I understood the challenge to be one of texture co-ordinate exploration:


I’ve tried plugging one texture into another texture’s vector input, and it creates interesting results but there is always a lot of banding… I find that if I put it through a bump node first I can get a smoother distortion of one texture by another texture:
