A work in progress

I was gonna make the lamp do a backflip before but then I thought of learning with the basics first, and I implemented something that games taught me which is that the third jump in a row is always bigger lol. My main idea for my final animation is going to have the lamp on a wooden textured table with some books also with some image textures
Lamp animation pt. 1

The timings are a bit off but this isn’t my last animation

Good animation. A fraction fast perhaps? Plus too small in the camera view.

The light reflection on the floor is stronger than the emitted lamp light by itself.
And because it somehow blinking, it draws the attention away from the real animation.

yea this is just the start and my first animation I’ll do a lot more changes with the environment. And about the blinking it’s not actually blinking it’s gotta to do with the lamp looking here and there and my poor camera angling, but again because it’s not my final one I didn’t put much effort into it but I will later once I understand more stuff. Also I realised that I only added a screw between the stem and the lower arm but didn’t put a screw between the lower and upper arm so I’ll do that too

The screw’s aren’t visible in the animation but I’ll get that sorted

It’s important upfront to know what your model is doing.
So keep it simple, don’t add screws.
But if you need some lamp close ups, then add details.
But then use a second updated hihg poly model.
