A question about copying and pasting

I noticed in the lecture that you can copy/paste a component (let’s say location for example). I was wondering how the tree leaves was able to adjust automatically since it doesn’t appear to be overlapping the tree trunk?

I have these two objects highlighted showing the same location but how it’s displayed is different.

Not quite sure what you mean. What did you copy exactly?

So I copied another instance of a tree and relocated them to where I had it highlighted in the screenshots.

The thing that I noticed was that tree trunk and leaves showed the same xyz values (the section where I have marked in red) and was wondering how they can share these values while they appear to be visually displayed differently.

My worry was that assuming they have the same xyz values, shouldn’t they appear to overlap one another?

Oh I get you now. The static mesh itself is offset from the origin.

Gotcha, now that’s starting to make sense.
