Hows it going everyone. This is my take on the Block Breaker section of the course. For the most part it is very similar to the game Ben creates in the course. The main thing that makes this one stand out is that I used the AutoPlay method we created to make a start menu that plays itself in the background. It is unable to be influenced by the player in any way and has a few custom scripts that stop some of the normal behavior such as loading new level when brickCount reaches 0, and disabling the sound effects for the menu only. I have found that the menu can get itself stuck in boring loops from time to time as the computer is only so intelligent, but I did not see a reason to fuss about with fixing it as it is simply a start menu background. I suggest that even if you aren’t interested in playing a generic version of block breaker, that you still take at the start menu, as up until now we have only had very basic and dull menus for our games. Perhaps it will inspire some of you to create some really awesome menus as well. Attached is just a sneak peak.
