Okay, this was a hell. Lot of errors in Visual Studio, different versions, various fixes that don’t work. This lecture could use a revision, especially regarding various #include and rebuilds. Troubleshooting information is scattered around and often inaccurate / obsolete.
Even though I understand what pointers should do I had to go to the documentation and track the line with pointers steps by step. I think I get it now, but I doubt I’ll be able to use it without help and/or some backtracking.
