4 islands UV unwrap

Hi,

I decided to make 4 islands for the head: top, face and each side. I will see if it was a good idea.
[Edit (Updated Mon Jan 08 2018 11:21): my bad, it is actually neck instead of top, so the 4 islands are Face, Neck, Left and Right side.]

Here is the Unwrap:


Should I have applied a Smooth vertex or a simple subdivision? Not sure yet, but my mesh is quite … :thinking: … angular.
