In order to achieve a glitch-free 100/1 mass ratio sim (following the exact specifications in the video) at 30fps. I have to set the Max Substeps Delta from 0.016667 down to 0.00666. Without Substepping, to remain reliably glitch-free I must set my FPS to one of the green values in the below table. very odd. not sure not sure what’s up with that. I ran each setting multiple times to be sure it wasn’t an anomaly.
If you’re curious about my hardware. It’s an i7 8700k/gtx1080 and can run the sim at around 400fps (2.6ms) un-throttled.
