My wife is impressed with my modelling progress to the point she asked if I thought I’d like a 3d printer for my birthday.
It’s not something I’ve looked at for many years as she always said ‘what would you use it for’ , now I have a use lol
Any way if anyone can suggest some to look at , I’ll not need anything for professional level printing , just as a hobbyist , printing out some of my 3d models . Under £300 preferably lol
The FDM printers, depositing melted plastic wire are most common, but there are now consumer and low cost SLA ones that are much better less liney.
Personally, I hope to get an SLA sometime, I have use of an FDM and they are not good enough to me in their finish. SLA tends to be smaller though so if you want larger things it probably means go FDM. SLA is messier liquids to clean off etc.
