3 models (mug, chair, headphones)

I tried to focus on giving low LOD models that practiced using the skills covered most recently.

  • The chair back was my attempt to use sectioning in a practical context. It ended up looking, at best, like something out of an early 1990’s video game, like the original Alone in the Dark. I’m not sure it worked out that well; my first instinct was just to use smoother shapes, but I think it’s good to practice constraints!

  • I think making a coffee mug is a classic “learn to 3D model” exercise? In any case, I can say I’ve done that now.

  • I put the most care into the headphones, while still trying to keep the detail low. I think they turned out okay for a relatively novice student!
