2D Character "rotating" with environment

Hi guys, not sure how to explain this - so I have my beautiful box character, let’s call im Doc Box.

Doc Box can do everything, but once he comes to an…inclined? slope? surface (hope you know what I mean, just a diagonal ground), Doc Box stays exactly as he is and does not rotate as if he moves up or down. Looks stupid, poor Doc Box.

I can’t find anything really how to change this. Any help on where to look?

Does the player have got a Rigidbody2D attached? If so, check if the constraints. Maybe the z-axis is freezed.
