2021 Collab: Week 06 “Fast” - CLOSED

This is the Blender collaboration 2021, week 6 challenge. Don’t be afraid to join, a lot of us are beginners. This is all to practice, to have fun, to learn, and get together.

This week’s subject is “Fast”.

  • Fast, open to interpretation: Quick things, fast things and even motion blur!
  • Subject selected by the previous week 04 winner Jaco_Pretorius - “Medieval Age”.

The rules are simple. 1 subject, 1 entry, 1 week.

You create whatever object or scene or whatever you can think of that has something to do with the subject. It can be as simple or complicated as you want, all entries are welcome!
Post your picture here in this thread. And at the end of the week, we start to vote. And if you are the winner, you may choose the next subject.

Deadline: 2021-02-13T22:59:00Z

Cannot make a blender scene faster than that . I even skipped the rendering stage to make it faster here

Blender + fast… what could it be? Why… a GPU!

Not the perfect model, but definitely fast
This is currently the fastest GPU for Blender according to https://opendata.blender.org/
Rendered just for 10s with IRay
… and this is meta-render as it was rendered with rtx 3090… )

Reminds me of a service we have here in the US called Meals on Wheels, which helps getting food to seniors who are isolated.

“We need to leave the planet! Fast!”

I had an idea… so I’m still gonna submit a render. Rockets are pretty fast

Edit: Listened to the other people und changed some things araoung.

Edit2: I fiddled around some more and won’t touch it again!
But the lighting is a little bit off…NO!
Hmm… I could… NO!
The whole planet could explode… NO!

Here’s my “fast” render

I mostly followed a tutorial for this though. :see_no_evil: I am trying to figure out simulations… it’s tedious!

Ohh boy/girls,
I didn’t think that “fast” generate such different views, ideas and feelings.
Great ideas, great executions … good composition, high difficulty level …
You are great students!

I like how you solved the background and implemented a “washed out”, overexposure .
Especially with the people.
A very special technique!

I thougt I went against third parties…

About “rule of third” I tried that, you think I should Put the rockt more down? And/or make ist smaller?

Can you bei more specific about lock motion? I tried motion blurr, but really didn’t like the outcome…

Always Happy about feedback! Thank you!
