i dont know why i’m getting white background when i render.
how do i change that??

Hard to tell from a clipped screenshot no panels to see.
However it looks like the white is not the background world but some other geometry object. Quite possible a giant sphere going by some just visible facets in it.
Select it and hide it from the render or just delete it.

Or, add smoothing to the outer sphere.
For a nice background …
