When I use the remesh the mesh disappears. What could be the problem? I have verified that the scale is 1, the normals are also correct.

Remesh to what …?
If you mesh model is 1 meter and you remesh to a dimension of 1 meter.
The result is an empty object (1 vertex maybe).
Check the remesh options.
