I took advice from some of the other students in this course to go with a simpler lamp. And thank goodness, I can’t even imagine how many bones I’d have to add to make the bendy design work.
Here’s what I came up with for my upper arm. I didn’t even think to make it an elongated cube, but I think I’ll like how light plays with the bars I’ve got instead. I might end up rethinking how the rotation is constrained after actually putting it in motion, but we shall see.
