Unreal Compiler Sounds

Hello All,

Last night I got sick of not being able to hear a sound for when the compiler completes successfully, I think we ALL know the sound when it doesn’t. There are times where I have been waiting around for minutes at a time waiting for something to compile only to NOT know when it has finished and have to run the compile again to see it it was successful or not because the messages don’t stay up very long. So, I decided to do something about it went into the sounds section of the engine and imported a sound and changed the successful compile sound to something that I would recognise and changed the bloody volume to something I could hear. My hearing is good for a person of my age (and being a rock guitarist), but, I could not hear the successful compile sound the way it was.

Much better this way!

Regards.

Useful tip Vaughan. I’ve never had issues myself TBH but sometimes building from your editor doesn’t trigger the sound as well.

There’s also a sound that can be played when you stop playing in the editor but for the life of me cannot remember how I did it - probably in editor or project settings somewhere.
