Seems like they removed all the older version 4s of Unity from their website. I was wondering if the 2017 version would work or can someone send me a link for unity 4.6.9?

You can use 2017, but be prepared for some differences with Unity’s API, these are however covered in a document linked from lecture 8, the questions will have also been asked on the forum so you will be able to find answers quickly.
Incidentally, Unity 4 is still available via Unity’s download archive;
