What is UI and UX?

UI stands for User Interface. In games, this is things like your menu systems and any elements that communicates information to the player, such as health bars, maps, etc.
UX stands for User Experience, and generally considers how people interact with the UI.
So if you had a menu system that is poorly laid out and clunky to use, this would be a UI with poor UX.
