Just finished up your game. It was fantastic. Like the fuel mechanic and the idea of collecting an object in order to spawn the exit. Keep up the good work!
Very impressive work here. I was conscious of many of the UI features you put in. I particularly liked your fuel gauge. The original version with the static camera feels a little flat. I loved version 2 with the motion tracking. If anything, I would find some royalty free music you can add. Music just has a way of dialing things up. You have so many great elements here and mechanics. My congratulations on a project well done.
I like the fuel, and it was the right amount, i.e. I had to be careful with boost but was enough.
Level 8 was a challenge. One time I got the final green cube trigger but had zero boost left to get to the landing pad.
Version 2 is really great with the follow camera and the fuel gauge at the top.
Only thing I would suggest is allow for A & D keys as in moments of stress my left hand was mashing Boost when I meant to rotate.
I’m going to add more levels to my effort as this was a lot of fun.
Hi Scott,
Loved your Game, Can you please tell me how you made the camera to follow the rocket without rotating? I am tired of searching on the internet.
I’ve been busy with life these past couple months, but I’ve carved out some time and started messing around with some new hazard ideas for Rocket Boost.
Check out the following video for sandbox display of:
Super simple Missile projectile
“Air Vent” that pushes the player upward
The “wormhole” which will pull the player toward its center with a “gravity” force
Functionally they seem to work fairly well!
Thanks again for all the feedback - great to see such an active community.
