Triplex trojan virus story

As reported by others, I get the “The system cannot execute the specified program.”-error when trying to run triplex after including ctime. Windows Defender then reports Trojan:Win32/Wacatac.B!ml in triplex.exe.

To be clear, is this something to be concerned about? I.e. did following your instructions (incl installations you suggested) somehow introduced a vulnerability in my system?

In short no. You know and see the code. But windows defender sees a pattern that matches a Trojan as well so it is warning about that. I ran the same code a point and didn’t have windows defender complain. I could be they update a signature or something. But you are not at risk
