Trees on a hill

I have watched all the videos for the early access and I like what I saw. It was super easy to follow and I enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere of these lectures. Thank you Grant.

Though I had problems with the last section (especially on getting the origin to be at the base of the trees that were not one object. I think I am over thinking something. But, the branches of the linked trees in the final render blender file kept moving out of place. I found you can’t resize a linked tree among other things. It is certainly a learning experience.

Here is a render of 3 trees that took me all day to keep branches from seeming lifting off the trees when I move the trees around.

I watched the last of the lectures and Grant mentioned putting together a scene that incorporated both the trees and rocks. I used what I learned from these lectures and came up with this additional scene.

Very nicely done. That would make a fine basis for any scene setting.

I like those trees as they really can make me calm. It’s a great art style.

I agree with @NP5 as that is a very well put together scene. :grinning:
