Tree texture question

Hi,

I added a texture to my first tree which came out ok, but when I made a second tree and added a different texture, it comes out with no detail as seen in the photo. Does this have something to do with the number of faces in the model? (topology?), because the first model has over 20k and the second model has only 7k.

Help us all to help you.
Please give full screenshots with any questions. With the relevant panels open.
Also, include the lecture time and name/number that is relevant to the problem/issue.
This can be done by Blender itself, via the ‘Window’ menu bar top left-hand side.
On that menu drop-down is ‘save screenshot’.

  • probably a problem in how you created the second material.
  • Assign material of object one to new object two.
  • apply scale, because it can influence the material
  • Be sure your normal’s are pointing outside

There are two things we can check to solve this:

First check your material in the shading view-port and see if you have “object” selected into the vector of the mapping node as shown below.

Second, see if you have “box” project on your image texture nodes (see below).

If after checking for these and it still doesn’t work, let me know.
