I have made my first transitions and it is working(kind of) but the transition is appearing as the game level is shown so it runs over the top of the level instead of before the level. any thoughts.

And in which lecture? Would you mind sharing a bit more information on what you did? Have you already compared your code to the Lecture Project Changes which can be found in the Resources of this lecture? Unfortunately, since I know almost nothing about your game, it is a bit difficult for me to share any relevant thoughts on the problem you’d like to solve.
