Was able to continue on the art course tonight, really liking it. Only thing missing really is more detail about how to design actual sprites/characters, rather than individual objects and environments, but overall, I’m still enjoying it quite a lot. Here’s a torch I decided to animate to see what it’s like in an 8x8 resolution. It’s hard to pull off flames, problem being at the moment it just sort of looks like the flames are rotating rather than flying upward, but it’s okay. I think it looks decent too. How would you improve this?
