Let’s try a two week period for this theme and see how people like it. We can gather some feedback after two weeks are over. I am hoping more people will find time to do some renders and also not feel super stressed to get things done.
So the theme is “Summer inspired scene”. In the northern hemisphere we have summer currently so I would like people to get inspired by the summer and be creative with the theme. Summer is pretty wide theme so I hope this will result a lot of different type of renders. And for those living down under, you are heading towards the summer so I hope this inspires you as well.
Everyone can participate no matter of the skill level and experience, having fun, pushing yourself forward, getting experience and creating models is the goal here. Entries should be posted here by the end of Sunday 13th August.
To the end, couple of images to feed your imagination:
I met few very nice people from Australia when I was last week in Rhodes, they laughed when I said 26 degrees is a very nice and warm weather for a Finnish summer Usually we don’t get even that.
26 celcius, mmm… That’s a beautiful Summer Day hear in the Pacific Northwest. Not too hot, not too cold, perfect for a swim in the local river and a Bar-b-que.
Depends where in Australia… here in Sydney its currently 12 deg and head a bit further south to Canberra and it was -6 the other night which is cold for us but still very warm im sure compared to a Finnish winter! I wintered in Hungary once in a city high in the mountains …-20 plus was not uncommon most days. Whats the average temps in Finland in the winter Jax?
It really depends where in Finland you live. These days when winters are not what they used to be back in the days, it’s usually around 0 to -10 degrees in the South (coastal area) and occasionally if it blows from the North / Siberia it could get down to -30 degrees. In the North though, it’s usually a bit more rough as it’s inland. I think it usually varies from -10 to -30 degrees but can get as cold as -40 if conditions are right (wrong?).
-10 to -30 C sounds like Canada too. Where I live it runs around -20, but it’s not uncommon to find it at -30 to -40 with the wind chill. Summer usually runs 20 to 30. At 36 we’re roasting. What temperature is considered hot in Australia?
Wow -10 - -40 that is insanely cold hahah Canada is awesome! I love the cold so living in the wrong country! Mcfuzz i get the whole shorts thing with the Germans during our winter! When i stayed in Hungary over a winter after being in severe negative conditions all winter long and not one drop of sunshine for months when the sun finally came out and it was a very warm for there -8 we all ran out in shorts and a tshirt … you get soo used to the extreme cold that anything thats not -20 is a summers day hahah The Germans must have thought us aussies were such babies wearing jackets in 12 degree weather haha to them thats swimming budgie smuggler and sunbathing temps lol
