I felt limited in my ignorance of swords and tried to make them with different materials and for different characters. there were instances where I was conflicted where I felt like the design might not be functionally appropriate (like after you contact the opponent you want to release the weapon easily, not have it stuck). I cheated towards the end and youtubed something like history of swords and based one on really early symbols of the first swords (bronze age). I suppose if this were more serious, I probably would want to know more about the history of swords and how they are made.
