Sword work

Before continuing on to the third section of the course I decided to “throw together” (took a bunch of time but it was fun). I focused on trying to create the material shaders through some solid youtube-ing. All in all I find it pretty solid. I had some trouble with the pommel. There kept on being obvious seams and I have no idea why. Ideally the pommel and cross-guard would have been the same (they’re the same material) but crossguard looked funky unless shaded flat.

Especially with shiny reflective things you need a world to be reflected in them. A world hdri should help. Though such things may be yet to come in the course for you.
