HI, I’m Geoff (as you may have guessed from the username) and live in a small village just to the south of Warrington, Cheshire in the UK. I have very wide ranging interests in computing as I started off back in the days when ‘a computer’ could easily fill a room and depended greatly on special air conditioning. Now I have computers that fit in my pocket and outpower those old room filling machines many times over.
Here’s my GitHub page, and I’ve just spotted that I spelt my own surname incorrectly in the page title… I’ll have to see if I can change that.
I am actually retired due to mental health problems (and being too old for the workplace to want me) although I worked for over 25 years in the IT industry, mostly programming in various languages. Since being made redundant 15 years ago I have successfully gained a BSc in Computing with the Open University, and I continue to pick up on different languages to “keep my hand in”, as it were. Before the pandemic I was frequently helping juniors in school to take the first steps in programming through my involvement with Code Club and Coder Dojo (both now part of the Raspberry Pi organisation).
I can waffle on forever, but I’ll save you all that suffering.

Pretty straightforward. You’ll have to settle with my code name for now. Currently I am working on a supernatural, mystery vn project at a steady pace which, figuring out how to post to the repository, I might put up publicly until I’m farther along. The idea is to make better use of my downtime after I’ve exhausted myself during the day to expand my knowledge.
