Hello, guys, so here what was promised during the kickstarter campaign:
=== STRETCH GOALS ===
£20,000 - Custom 3D Assets
£40,000 - Virtual Reality
£80,000 ($123,000 or €112,000) - Multiplayer with Photon
£100,000 - Performance Optimisation
All the stretch goals were achieved, but after more than a year I haven’t heard anything about them.
3D assets - nothing
VR and multiplayer - “another free courses” were promised in January, then nothing
Optimisation - nothing
Testing Grounds - promised to be finished in January aaaand…nothing
Your Unity course was really solid and I liked it, but Unreal one - just a bunch of unsatisfied promises. ANd now you’re all into new RPG course which means these golas will never be achieved(just like the VR course for Unity is totally forgotten)
Hi sputnik,
Multiplayer and VR it was decided would make the unreal course too big for udemy requirements so a seperate course will be made free to kickstarter backers. I believe this is still the case just delayed.
Performance Optimisation i thought we explored in testing grounds but maybe it was expected to be more in depth.
Testing grounds had a lot of information in it and due to it being complex and I myself struggling though some points a lot of content has been reviewed and replaced. This also said a lot more content will be reviewed at possible changed or more C++ refactoring.
Sam is still working on this content but thats what information I have atm from patching it together
These stretch goals are going to be delivered and we are working towards all of them. Multiplayer and VR are definitely on the horizon.
Regarding, Testing Grounds, we apologise for the delay here. We took a bit of a break in production to ensure we take the right direction. We will be carrying on to completion with more C++ in response to feedback on the section.
I should clarify @Gamer_101 that for Kickstarter backers all the multiplayer and VR content will be free. For everyone else it will be a small additional fee.
