Did the king without video help this time. It’s not bad and i’m quite happy overall. The main shapes and larger contours are becoming very easy to shape from the reference images. Plus using the Queen as a template made it a sinch.
Main difficulty I had was in sculpting the cross at the top. I tried a few different ways including trying a booleen to cut shapes from the four corners (looked terrible!) … went back and tried something else. I’ll probably redo it again as i was being very particular about extruding and moulding a flat cross from the crown… I think i’ve over-complicated things.
