Its nice to see how to work with animation and animator but i dont think that using animations with rotation are that great here. The reason is the moving parent object formation. While the animation is playing it is also affected by the moving parent object. Lets say the formation is moving to the left now. If your enemy ship is now arriving from the left with a rotation in the direction in which the ship is moving (in this case the ships orientation is to the right, more or less like presented in the lecture), the animation looks messed up because the ships orientation does not match its movement anymore due to the moving parent object.
If you have a much slower animation its much more noticable.
