Seems I’m alone in this, but thought I’d try a little experiment. I drew the sphere in pencil, but also wanted to have a go with my new XP-Pen tablet. Couldn’t decide which app to use, so tried the three I have installed.
So the 4 versions of the sphere are:
Pencil, Krita, Affinity Photo and Bleank Black Ink

The pencil version was by far the easiest to do and had the best result. I think Affinity Photo was the easiest to use, then Krita with Black Ink being a little more unpredictable and fiddly. Overall though, I was pretty pleased.

I think I like the Affinity Photo one the best, but that’s just my taste. Others might like any of the others better.

Some great examples there but I agree with @Miss_B, my favourite is the Affinity one

Personally, I prefer the pencil version. Probably because I felt I had the most control over the drawing process. From the apps, I definitely felt most comfortable drawing in Affinity Photo, even more so than Krita. So will likely use that exclusively from now on through the course.
