[SOLVED] Blue circle in centre of text box disabled

Problem:
Unable to change the blue circle of a text object

Expected Result:
On creating a UI->Text, the blue circle should be bright in color and its position should be changeable

Achieved Result:
On creating a UI->Text, the blue circle looks disabled and its immovable

Screenshot:

On the tool bar at the top, just under the menu, you will note the 5 options on the left. Currently you have the “hand” selected, select the option on the other end, the square with the dot in the middle.

The dot you refer to is the pivot point.

You don’t necessarily need to move this though to actually move the text box. If that is all you want to do, try the transform option (second button from the left).

Thanks Rob!

Just did that. Unfortunately still same result

corrected screenshots (whoops sorry):

Hi,

Just to check, what is it you are actually trying to do, more the whole text box etc?

If it’s the pivot you want to move, change the option Center to Pivot, the pivot dot will then move to its relevant location, or, you can move it. If this is what you want to do etc…

Tried using the option next to the hand? That should give you the “dot in the center” you are looking for.

Hi @FaizanIftikhar,

Can you please confirm whether this is now resolved? If so, please mark the topic accordingly, if not, let us know and lets get back to resolving it for you.

Hi @Rob

This suggestion worked:

“If it’s the pivot you want to move, change the option Center to Pivot, the pivot dot will then move to its relevant location, or, you can move it. If this is what you want to do etc…”

Thanks

Great news - glad to hear you have it sorted @FaizanIftikhar
