So I Hear You Want More C++?

Hey lovely unreal folks! I have a question for you…

We have heard a lot of feedback that you don’t love the content at the end of Testing Grounds. So we wanted to give you the choice of what we do next.

  • Redo from where Sam started using much more C++ (lecture 226)
  • Redo from somewhere in between lecture 226 and the end. Please let us know where you think is best in the comments.
  • Carry on from the end but convert the project into C++.

“Redo from where Sam started using much more C++” 99% sure you mean Blueprint, discussion on FB is off as a result.
Also I think the better option would be to convert to C++ in sections when you get a desired effect rather than just a big lumpsum at the end which will most likely be difficult and painful with lots of bugs to fix on the way.

Completely agree with DanM on this.
The refactor lectures took me down a bumpy road but necessary. Anything bigger than what we already experienced and i think it would be too much of a shock for newer programmers.
Convert in chunks as becomes necessary but continue from the current content.

@Marc_Carlyon @DanM good points. Just to clarify, I did mean using much more C++ so my thinking is that I would redo alternating between BP and C++ as you suggest if the first option comes out on top.

Oh so you meant “Redo from where Sam started and use much more C++”, gotcha.

Yes, damn this ambiguous natural languages.

Just needs a comma to get what you were trying to say “Redo from where Sam started, using much more C++” though I guess some might still confuse it.
