One thing I’ve learned about sculpting is that - it’s super important to start out with an excellent character reference sketch sheet, if the sketch is out you will end up with a bad result. xxx jess

Yes reference is vital; and it can be real photos too rather than just sketches.
You can set them up to be behind and to the side of the item you are working on. It is weird the Rick in the head section does not put them in ‘properly’.

Yes reference images are a vital part of the workflow, I don’t like to have too many but I always use some. I use sketches and photos. How are you today? xxx jess
