Hello everyone. I am Julia, and i am new here and new to Blender and i am…well, that is from the different story, sooo i just love graphics. Nice to meet you all. I just faced a little battle with the snapping tools/options that come as a built ins with Blender, and as a result looked around in pursue of some third party help. I came across the Add On called “snapping utility”, that you may find helpful in some scenarios while trying to snap/align your geometry in blender, especially those of you, who model architectural pieces, interiors or furniture. It definitely makes life easier while trying to Vertices Snap or drawing the faces by means of Line for further manipulation.
You can download it from the Blender Market. It is not expensive. Snapping Utility_Line is totally Free. The full package, containing Move, Rotate, Push/Pull Face is around 17 USD. Easy to download, easy to install. Thought i would share this with you. Cheers, Julia
Thanks for sharing but to be honest you could just go into wireframe mode to get around the issue which is what i do
Although more complex models than the gothic church might benefit from it but not from a learning purpose
Free package may not be worth it but those add on just look like tools we already have in blender so i am failing to see the benefit (It might be that i am missing the point which is normal lol)
Hope you are enjoying the course Julia and if you get stuck pop a question up in the Q&A and other students or myself will be along to help

I quite like the feeling of finding a workaround for things like this inside vanilla Blender. It’s like a little puzzle, in productivity form!
