wow that looks wicked, can i ask how long you been using blender and doing this course?

Thank you!
I’ve been using blender for about 4 months in total, on and off since 2017. And I just finished Section 6 (Fluffy Bunny) a few weeks ago after a few month long hiatus.

That’s really cool! And knowing that you were able to achieve that within a course of four months, on and off, is giving me quite a bit of hope. I’ve only downloaded blender earlier today before buying the course, I tried following some YouTube videos but turned out to be a complete failure! I suppose that’s what I get for trying to jump right into character modelling  but seeing the progress you’ve made in building this truck is really quite something!

I really appreciate your kind words! It’s such a wonderful thought process to break things down into their base elements and build them back up from scratch! It’s a radical departure from the visual art that I normally create, but that’s exactly what I was looking for with this course! And believe me, the YouTube tutorials did me almost no good either. I learned more in 2 weeks with the course than 2 months with random YouTube tutorials. What I lacked was structure, and you will no doubt learn that in this course!

I believe you can do it! It just takes some patience with the course to learn the program’s inner-workings and practice! Lots and lots of practice.

If you need feedback feel free to ask! :slightly_smiling_face:

Glad to know I wasn’t the only one struggling to grasp the concept of modelling through YouTube! I really hope so, I’m really enjoying the course so far, and the challenges are all extremely thought provoking when you go beyond the surface of what is being asked. I’m currently on the last challenge of section 1, trying to create something using only the primitives. I’ve decided to have a go at creating a giraffe and honestly it’s pretty hilarious but has also really helped me grasp all the basics of the interface so I’m really excited to see what else there is!

And thank you!

I actually have a couple of questions, I’m not sure if you’d know the answer to them but if you could have a look at least that would be a great help! Feedback is also appreciated
