Section 2 - Pivot Points - Door Challenge

I went for a standing door design for the challenge and used the 3D cursor as the pivot point for the door. Funnily enough, I originally used the origin point for the door as a pivot by moving it to the location of the 3D cursor when I started the challenge, but changed it to the 3D cursor after I unpaused, continued watching how the challenge was completed, and learned that changing the origin point could cause potential complications. I suppose I will have to wait until further into the course to see what those could be.

Yes, the origin point can be very important in how you construct, rigged, and animate objects.
At times, you get better at this.
Just do a lot small projects!

Pivot point works well for arranging a part or section of geometry. The issue is if you go on to make the rest of a house for example, all the doors would want the pivot point set for them, all in different places. Hence the other ways have their place and uses.
