Section 01 - Final Challenge - Ferris Wheel

Decided to create a Ferris Wheel as my final challenge for section one. Tried to use different colors but in the end I stayed with these grey tones and metal. The wheel itself took me about 2h and the kiosk + scene changes an additional 1h. I used only basics learned from “Section 01”. Except the denoise for Cycles.

Tell me what you think. Appreciate your feedback.

Good model.
The lighting is dark (on my monitor).
And as a Ferris wheel is fun, found on fairgrounds and amusement parks. It should be colorful, fun to see …

Welcome to this site.

Great basic shapes model with a nice detailed kiosk.

i like how you lit up the seats and kiosk, it breathes some life into it. a plane set up in the background would have given the light something to bounce off of and it wouldn’t look so dark back there.

It’s a super rough background but the scene immediately got brighter. Thank you for your feedback!

Looks very good! How did you make the rings?

You can use the torus object.
Or a circle and extrude the mesh.

Exactly! “Shift+A > Mesh > Torus Object” is what I did. Cause extruding wasn’t part of the tutorial at that point.
