Scaling problem with Mirror Modifier

Hello Community,

I started to create Knight (Chess set) with mirror modifier. after adding the mirror modifier when i scaling the horizontal edges of base according to Knight size I saw a difference in scaling horizontal edges of base.

How to solve this?

Because, you are scaling NOT FROM THE CENTER of the mirror (0,0,0).
Your are using the combined pivot point of the selected vertices, which is now (half cylinder) an offset of (0,0,0). As in (0.4-ish, 0, 0).

You need to tell the scaling tool, where your center point of scaling lies. For this you can use the 3D cursor. And an option on the dashboard.

Be aware the location of the 3D cursor. Use shift c to set it on (0,0,0).
