Scale for Unwrappin Fail?

Scaling the islands mesh is nothing more then, how much bitmap texture space you need on those islands (faces).

Say a single face, as part of an island, is covering for example 10x10px then how much details can it contain. for a diffuse color it’s no problem. But if you want add some readable text in a 10x10px square it would not fit. Then you need to scale that island for more pixels.

BUT some island are connected (splitted by those seams ) then you need to scale them both, in the same way.

then is no relation between the high and low poly scales mesh, except for the pixel density,.
