Here is my powerup(?) item for the rotation challenge. It was a bit complicated in the sense that in this case no one side was going to be the same. Doubled the canvas size to give me a bit more room to work with to convey the shape. Made two versions: one with eight and one with 12 frames - I could have probably cut frame speed by a factor to have them at matching animation lengths as well.

Make the back side darker, as in lying in the shadows …?
I admit I took lighting less into consideration – the coloring was more reflective of dye in this case rather than shadows, with a slightly darker outline included (maybe this would only work under consideration of an overhead midday sun).

Trying to a background as well may not have been a good idea in hindsight.
