Rook with boolean ops

I thought I’d do it the “easy” way… which took way more time than Ben’s inset method. :wink:

I did a little box jig for boolean difference modifier, knifed some edges, fiddled and fiddled and then cleaned it up with edge split 0 modifier. Whew!

Then watched the solution and shook my fist at the monitor.

Heheh, i did the same as you, trying to mirror and cut edge and stuff… in the took me waay too long, but i learned a great deal, as you did i’m sure. Afterall we’re here to learn!
