Nice! What did you use to accomplish the plain (or the skybox for that matter)?

Well i just subdivided a large plain then used the “select random” on vertices and pulled them up. I used a sub divisional surface modifier to smooth it out after that. As far as the sky box there is a way to do this for both cycles and blender render.

cycles: just look on the “world” menu under “surface” (make use you hit use nodes) and hit the little button next to “colors” another men will pop up and you need to select “sky texture” note that it can only be seen in rendered mode or when you actually do a render.

Blender Render: look in the “world” menu under “world” and one of the three skies: “real”,“blend”, or “paper” after that if is just a matter of adjusting the “Horizon”, “zenith” , and “ambient” to your liking.
