Project "Amanthia"

Starting the RPG course I’m going to concentrate on getting the combat right (since I know I have the habit of getting way ahead of myself).

I want to keep the button prompts pretty simple – two or at most three for attacks concentrating on combos of presses. I’m also thinking of having the camera at a more up-close from the back angle than is being shown in the videos, but I’ll see how it works.

Created my small arena:

Included here a bit of a dungeon scene with Ethan running around. (I did run into some problems with camera clipping on rotation. Seems like the tighter boxed in, the less rotation you want in the first place though – becomes to jittery).

The idea was just to make it so the player could run cleanly around the dungeon and take out a couple mobs. I’ll want to make it bigger and/more segmented though (or Ethan and co smaller) as I’m getting a bit claustrophobic looking into the screen. Be nice to have rooms with treasure and traps as well.
