I know that in a previous lesson there are the trick to how solve the slow zoom problem.
But i’ve tried in different ways and seems doesn’t work.
Try to:
-go to orthodox and period key in numpad.
-come back in perspective and do the same

Finally i’ve tried with Shift+C and seems to work now.

Thats definatly an odd one as Shift and C if i remember rightly is the center the 3d cursor to the origin which doesnt affect the viewport zoom. I wonder if you got caught in a randoim blender glitch and in trying to find a solution you found it but i doubt that was why.
Its more likely that you accidently had num lock off and then turned it on and when you hit the persiod key it unlocked but you didnt notice.
