I want your advice on something !
One of my best memories about gaming was when I was playing Ultima Online on roleplay servers. One of the feature that I realy liked was the XP over time instead of having to kill monsters or mining, etc etc.
I like the idea beacause it allow the player to focus on what he want to do instead of what he have to do. I have 2 questions for you…
First, do you think this feature would be popular on a multi player game? (Imagine shards like the old Ultima Online).
And what if there is a maximum of XP per day and per week? The player would still be able to play, farm some stuff etc but his level will not increase faster than a more casual player. The max level could take 6 months or a year to obtain.
The thing is that I want to focus on freedom, dans that endgame feeling we get on some MMO, right at the level 1.
